Clear and aromatic, this authentic Vietnamese pho broth is made with rich chicken stock seasoned with a touch of fish sauce and a pinch of sugar. Add your preferred meat, vegetables, and noodles to enjoy this traditional culinary treasure.

The Mai PhamLemon Grass Kitchen Pho broths are prepared following the same methods as done in Vietnam: carefully adding one ingredient at a time,making sure the broth is balanced and infused with just the right amount of star anise, ginger, and other traditional spices.

Preparation

For Large Batch Cooking:
Dilute 4 parts water to 1 part broth. Bring to a boil and serve as suggested below. For a more aromatic broth, add 2-3 slices of ginger in soup before heating. Discard Ginger before serving. Avoid holding longer than two hours as broth may become salty and less aromatic.

For Cook to Order:
Reconstitute and boil desired quantity and pour over noodles.

Handling

Do not refreeze. Do not store in pouch after heating. Promptly refrigerate any unused portion. Do not use if punctured or torn. Keep frozen until ready to use.

Serving Ideas

Garnish with slices of chicken or beef, thin slices of yellow onion, green onion and chopped cilantro. Serve with a side of sliced chilies, lime wedges and Asian Basil. Steam shellfish in Pho to infuse an Asian flavor profile. Cook grains such as quinoa or couscous in Pho and pair with grilled lemon grass chicken.
